FloatCard is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data. All your financial and card information stays on your device — always.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
FloatCard does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- Your credit card numbers, bank details, or actual account data
- Your spending amounts or financial records
- Device identifiers or location data
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
2. Data Storage
All data you enter in FloatCard — card names, statement dates, monthly records, settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
FloatCard works fully offline. An internet connection is only used for one optional feature: in-app purchases (Pro subscription).
3. In-App Purchases
FloatCard offers an optional Pro subscription via Google Play. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat, subject to their respective privacy policies. We only receive confirmation of whether a subscription is active — no payment details are ever shared with us.
4. Notifications
FloatCard may send local notifications to remind you of card switch days and payment due dates. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no data leaves your phone to make this work. Notifications are a Pro feature and are opt-in.
5. Backup & Export
The Backup & Export feature (Pro) allows you to export your data as a JSON file. This export is initiated by you and shared via your device's native share sheet. We have no access to exported files.
6. Home Screen Widget
The FloatCard widget displays your current card and days remaining on your home screen. Widget data is written to your device's local shared preferences — no data is sent to any server. The widget is a Pro feature (free for the first 30 days).
7. Third-Party Services
FloatCard uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Their privacy policy applies to purchase flows.
- Google Play — app distribution and payments.
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools.
8. Children's Privacy
FloatCard does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
